Job Description

Lucky Duck Swim School in Gardena, CA is seeking a part-time Office Assistant to join our team! We're looking for someone reliable, organized, and customer-focused, weekend availability is required.

Job Summary

The Office Assistant will support daily operations through clerical and administrative tasks. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, help manage scheduling, and ensure our office runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to emails.
  • Greet and assist clients; handle inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Provide accurate class and program information.
  • Use office equipment for tasks like data entry, flyers, and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain organized files and records.
  • Monitor office supply inventory and restock as needed.
  • Help keep the office clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Prior office or clerical experience
  • Familiar with basic accounting and general office procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma required
  • CPR/First Aid certified (current)
  • Knowledge of swimming a plus

Skills & Abilities

  • Type at least 35 WPM
  • Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Read, interpret, apply, and explain rules, policies, and procedures clearly and accurately
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and the public
  • Adapt to interruptions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and standard office equipment, ability to speak clearly to exchange information, visual ability to ensure accuracy in reading and preparing documents. Reach, bend, push, lift, and move items up to 25 pounds bending. Sit for extended periods of time. Perform light physical tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organized workspace
