				  EHS Manager – Immediate Hire 
 Location:  Finger Lakes Region, NY (between Rochester and Syracuse)
 Compensation:  $110,000 – $125,000 base + bonus 
 Relocation:  Assistance/bonus available for the right candidate

 A leading heavy manufacturing organization in the Finger Lakes region of New York is seeking an experienced  Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager  to join its leadership team. This critical role will ensure regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and a culture of safety across the site. 
 The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in  EPA regulations, hazardous materials management, and wastewater compliance  , along with the leadership skills to engage teams at all levels. This is a high-impact role with immediate visibility and strong advancement potential in a large, growth-oriented company.  Key Responsibilities -  Provide strategic leadership for all EHS program elements, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 
-  Act as the  site subject matter expert  on environmental, health, and safety initiatives. 
-  Lead programs focused on EPA, wastewater, hazardous materials, and safety compliance. 
-  Collaborate with executives, engineers, and operations leaders to embed safety into daily practices. 
-  Oversee incident reporting, injury investigations, and corrective actions. 
-  Manage audits, inspections, and corporate EHS governance requirements. 
-  Develop and deliver EHS training programs to ensure site-wide engagement and compliance. 
-  Analyze safety and environmental metrics, driving continuous improvement. 
-  Lead hazard/risk analyses, environmental reporting, and sustainability initiatives. 
-  Stay current on evolving EPA and safety regulations, ensuring proactive compliance. 
Qualifications-  Bachelor’s degree required  in EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering, Science, or related field. 
-  Minimum 5 years of experience  in heavy industrial or heavy manufacturing environments. 
-  Proven expertise in  EPA regulations, hazardous materials management, and wastewater compliance  . 
-  Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence across levels. 
-  Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
-  Demonstrated experience managing audits, regulatory inspections, and corrective action programs. 
-  CSP or other relevant EHS certifications strongly preferred.
