DevOps Engineer

About the Position

As a DevOps Engineer, you will assist on larger projects or run smaller opportunities independently. You will design and build the next generation of our application as well as design incremental upgrades to our existing products. A successful candidate has technical depth and hands-on experience of various practices and tools within DevOps and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes.

You Will:

  • Build and maintain a scalable and secured infrastructure to meet our customers’ needs

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm

  • Utilize GCP services and internal systems integration for the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure.

  • Optimize cloud performance, cost, and security through best practices and automation.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines 

  • Ensure security compliance by implementing IAM policies, VPC configurations, and encryption strategies.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud infrastructure issues using Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and incident response tools.

  • Collaborate with development, product and operations teams to enhance cloud reliability and scalability.

  • Automate cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and maintenance.

  • Lead initiatives to scale system architecture, ensure high availability, and implement comprehensive disaster recovery strategies for the Jeenie infrastructure.

  • Provide infrastructure needed to maintain multiple integration environments, ensuring each environment is consistently set up, configured, and available

  • Trace complex build problems, release issues, and environmental issues

  • Work with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years as individual contributor

  • Knowledge of one cloud platform like GCP (preferred), Azure, AWS

  • Good hands-on knowledge of Configuration Management and Deployment tools such as Terraform (preferred).

  • Good experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, Jenkins or similar tools)

  • Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)

  • Practical SQL skills and admin experience with Databases, such as PostgreSQL

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple and cross functional teams

  • High attention to detail with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
