Job Description

LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing nonprofit here in Chicago in their search for a  Chief Marketing Officer.

The CMO leads the organization’s marketing and communications strategy, driving brand awareness, growth, and mission impact.

As a member of the senior leadership team, this role provides strategic vision and oversight for marketing, communications, and brand positioning, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all internal and external channels.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing, communications, and branding strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and goals
  • Define and maintain a consistent brand voice and identity across all channels
  • Lead public relations, external communications, and content strategy to increase awareness and engagement
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and trusted advisor to executive leadership
  • Oversee market research, performance metrics, and data-driven optimization of campaigns
  • Manage marketing budgets, resource allocation, and ROI tracking
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global marketing and communications team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with fundraising, content, and operations teams to ensure alignment and execution
  • Manage agency, vendor, media, and strategic partnership relationships
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of senior marketing leadership experience; 5+ years in nonprofit experience required 
  • Proven success developing and executing integrated marketing and brand strategies
  • Strong understanding of marketing channels, tools, and performance analytics
  • Strategic, data-driven thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams
  • Experience managing budgets and measuring marketing effectiveness
  • Ability to align messaging with mission-driven and values-based audience

This position pays $225k+ as a base salary, dependent upon experience, and offers a full suite of benefits including (but not limited to): summer Fridays, fitness center benefits, short-term and long-term disability, medica insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401k, and a generous PTO policy.
This position requires the candidate to be in office three days a week in Chicago.
