Job Brief :

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing data classifiers and overseeing various engineering initiatives, including software administration and maintenance.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage Data Classifiers : Develop, implement, and maintain data classifiers in Microsoft Purview (and possibly other environments forthcoming) to ensure data security and compliance.
• Software Administration: Oversee the administration of security software and tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively protecting our systems.
• Security Engineering Initiatives : Lead and participate in various security engineering projects to enhance our security posture.
• Risk Assessment : Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Compliance and Standards : Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and develop policies and procedures to support these requirements.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other IT and engineering teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of the organization's operations.

Qualifications:

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on data classification and software administration. Experience with Microsoft E5 security tools preferred.
• Certifications : Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred.
• Skills : Strong knowledge of data classification systems, security software administration, risk assessment, and compliance standards.
