As Bar Manager, customer happiness is your priority, and you’re great at ensuring a welcoming environment with appropriately stocked spirits to keep people coming back for more. What we will ask of you:

  • Lead the bar team by modeling exceptional service, professionalism, and hospitality.
  • Utilize your creativity and bartending expertise to create, prepare, and oversee the execution of the restaurant’s beverage recipes.
  • Train, develop, and coach bar staff to ensure consistent preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Ensure the bar is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Resolve equipment issues quickly; coordinate bar maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributors.
  • Maintain accurate inventories, par levels, and ordering procedures; track and manage alcohol cost.
  • Process receipts, invoices, and credit statements in a timely manner; escalate discrepancies immediately.
  • Handle cash, deposits, and nightly close-out procedures with accuracy.
  • Analyze financial variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and attend weekly manager meetings.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled or needed to support overall restaurant operations.
  • Conduct daily lineups at least 30 minutes before service, including review of reservations, specials, 86’d items, and service priorities. Use this time to motivate and inspire the team.
  • Ensure each guest receives an exceptional experience and address guest concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Oversee floor operations during service, supporting the front-of-house team to maintain quality service standards.
  • Maintain restaurant ambiance by monitoring lighting, music, table settings, and overall presentation.
  • Uphold all state and local alcohol regulations and help ensure compliance to avoid legal risks.
  • Step in wherever needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
Requirements for Success:
  • 3+ years of bartending experience; 1+ year in a leadership or management role preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol Certification.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Experience with POS systems; Aloha preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets, inventory, and cost controls.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand basic directions.
  • Maintains a polished, professional appearance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues.
