Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Support FunctionsDivision can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

Join the EHS Operational Excellence (OpEx) team for a summer internship to help advance environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement through generative AI, digital tools, and data-driven insights. This role offers hands-on exposure to EHS governance, policy management, change management, and communications in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support development and deployment of AI and digital pilots that enhance EHS monitoring, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Assist with data collection, cleaning, and basic analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Help maintain and update internal EHS policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
  • Participate in change management activities, including drafting rollout plans, training materials, and tracking adoption metrics.
  • Contribute to creation of clear, targeted communications for stakeholders about EHS initiatives and program updates.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and project coordination as needed to support team deliverables.

Education:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Completed at least 2 years of College course work
  • Able to work full time for a period of 9-12 weeks
  • Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions
  • Familiarity or strong interest in generative AI, digital tools, and data analytics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working both independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn; prior experience with EHS programs or change management is a plus.

Preferred:
  • Prior internship or work experience in the Environmental, Health, and Safety field or in chemical manufacturing.
  • Ability to convey ideas and explain decisions in a clear and concise manner.

Salary range:
The salary range for this role is $39,600.00-$105,500.00 USD
